The Biovitrum Company held a thanatopraxy workshop in Kazan

On October 27, 2014, the Biovitrum Company held a thanatopraxy workshop in the autonomous public health care institution "Republican Bureau for Forensic Medical Examination MZ RT" aimed at improving theoretical knowledge and practical abilities of forensic doctors; this event was attended by forensic doctors from St. Petersburg, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Cheboksary and Yoshkar-Ola.

The lecture “Embalming: historical and modern aspects. Topicality and problems” was given in the framework of the workshop with demonstration of photo and video materials. The lecture and practical study was given by forensic medical expert Vladimir Bubnov (Saint Petersburg).

The lecturer, after brief excursus to the history of the subject, proceeded to modern aspects of embalming as the most important criterion of improvement of quality of services provided to population, and this issue is very topical in all spheres of services.

The workshop focused on practical aspects of thanatopraxy: technique, methods, and procedure. Modern preparations used in embalming process were also presented.

Such guest workshops contribute to improvement of level of medical services provided by the bureau, allows finding the new, customer-oriented approaches to work.

The visitors had an opportunity to study the work of structural subdivisions of the bureau, examine laboratories, and communicate with colleagues and friends.

The thanatopraxy workshop was organized well, all participants expressed their gratitude and satisfaction in connection with possibility to obtain the new knowledge, share practical experience, and establish work contacts.
